Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in the printing quality and device failure by authenticating permission of only a proper consumable supply.SOLUTION: First collation means 12 collates a password (first collation information) being static information generated by password generation means 14 of a body device 2 on the basis of an ID (consumable supply storage information) stored in an ink cartridge 150K with a first password (second collation information) generated on the basis of the ID (consumable supply storage information) and stored in the memory 153K. Second collation means 13 collates a password (third collation information) generated by the password generation means 14 of the body device 2 on the basis of position information (acquisition information) of the body device 2 with a second password (fourth collation information) generated on the basis of the position information (acquisition information) and stored in the memory 153K. Authentication means 16 authenticates permission of the ink cartridge 150K when matching in either the first collation means 12 and second collation means 13 is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
