Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication server that prevents an unauthorized use of an application and can use the application on a plurality of apparatuses.
SOLUTION: The authentication server 1 comprises a trial use start authenticating means 112 for authenticating validity of an application at a request made from a user terminal 3a when the user terminal 3a is started for a trial use of the application which is already installed, then issuing and transmitting a key is assigned to each apparatus of the user terminal for identifying the apparatus to the user terminal 3a, and allowing the start of its trial use; and an use authenticating means 113 for receiving a license key and an apparatus identifying key from the user terminal 3a after the license key is registered to register them in a authentication key storing device 102 and to authenticate the use of the application.
