Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable authenticating only when a user generating a password (PW) and a user using the PW are facing or close to each other, in an authentication system having a terminal displaying the PW and a terminal performing authentication processing.SOLUTION: An authentication system having a first device for displaying a PW, and a second device that performs authentication processing is provided, the first device comprising a position information acquisition unit that acquires position information of the first device, a first PW generating unit for generating a PW by a message digest using the acquired position information and a predetermined initial value, and a PW display unit for displaying the generated PW. The second device comprises a position information acquisition unit for acquiring position information of the second device, a second PW generation unit for generating the PW by a message digest using the acquired position information and a predetermined initial value, and a PW comparator for determining that authentication is successful, if the generated PW matches the input PW.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
