A user side system using certificate reads biological information of a user using the certificate, compares the read biological information with previously stored biological information to determine whether the read biological information coincides with the previously stored biological information. Only when the read biological information coincides with the previously stored biological information, certificate information is allowed to be transmitted, and a processing start request for predetermined processing is transmitted with the certificate information to a user terminal 2 requesting authentication. In a user side system requesting authentication, the user terminal 2 requesting authentication stores certificate identification information in certificate information stored in the processing start request in an authentication request and transmits the authentication request to an authentication server 4 on the basis of reception of the processing start request, and processing based on the processing start request is performed from the certificate using user when authentication success is received.
