PURPOSE: To improve the operability by providing a switching means, and constituting both a regular photographing area and a macro-photographing area so that an auto focus operation can be executed.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of regular photographing, when an index of W is allowed to conform with a fixed index 4 by operating manually a zoom ring 3, the zoom ring 3 comes not to be turned, but when a push-button switch 8 is operated, the zoom ring 3 further becomes turnable in the same direction and moves to a macro-photographing area. Simultaneously, changeover switches 14, 15 are switches to an M contact side. An input side of a drive circuit 16 becomes open, a movable distance ring 2 is fixed and a front lens is fixed to the final position at the time of regular photographing, a zooming control voltage CZ from a power zooming circuit 24 is cut off, a focus control voltage CF from a focus control circuit 12 is supplied to a drive circuit 17, and the zoom ring 3 turns. In this case, only a compensator moves as the zoom ring 3 turns and the focusing operation is executed.
