Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve a friction-type auto tensioner which is provided with: a supporting shaft (2); a rotation shaft (3) supported by the supporting shaft (2) in a swingable manner; a friction plate (4) which applies resistance against the rotation of the rotation shaft (3); a tension pulley bearing (5) including a tension pulley (5b) which also serves as an outer ring; and a spring for biasing the rotation shaft (3), wherein a coil spring (6) is employed as the spring, the coil spring (6) is disposed inside the rotation shaft (3), and the coil spring (6) is compressed between the rotation shaft (3) and a position-fixing contact pin (7).
