Abstract:
PURPOSE: To check any radio interference at the time of a code checkup by enabling only a key inserted into a key cylinder to transmit an identification code to a car.
CONSTITUTION: This method is applied to an auto-theft preventer which is provided with a key 1 with a power supply switch 13 and a transponder 11, a car antenna 2, a transceiver 3, a key cylinder 4, an immobile central unit 5 and an ECC system 6, and in this constitution, when the key 1 is inserted into the key cylinder 4, the key 1 is magnetized by a coil 44 in this key cylinder 4, and thereby the transponder 11 is operated. Subsequently, a radio wave is transmitted to the key 1 from the transceiver 3, and the key 1 received with this wave transmits an identification code with wave energy. This identification code is inputted into the immobile central unit 5 via the car antenna 2 and the transceiver 3, whereby a code checkup is carried out, When the checkup result is identical and a starter switch of the key cylinder 4 is turned to ON, an engine starting signal is fed to the ECC system 6.
