A platform 24 is neighbored with an end part of a column post 29 of an elevating mechanism for lifting/lowering the platform 24 so that, when a carrying device 7 stops face to face with a temporary storage shelf for warehousing 20 so that a pair of picker parts 14a, 14b of the movable carrying device 7 mounted on supporting rails 8, 8 are positioned to take over a cargo on the temporary storage shelf for warehousing 20, the position of the outermost end (the end on the side distant from a storage area 6) of the carrying device 7 is neighbored with one side of the temporary storage shelf for warehousing 20 in a plan-view. Out of the ends of the supporting rail 8, 8, the end on the side next to the temporary storage shelf for warehousing 20 is connected/ fixed to an end supporting column 31 erected neighboring to the column post 29 on one side of the platform 24.
