Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a circuit for automatically adjusting the delay of commutation so as to get optimum motor efficiency, in the drive circuit of a multiphase DC motor. CONSTITUTION: This circuit has a driver which supplies a drive current to a stator coil that a motor 11 has selected, and further herein a sequencer 13 to control the driver so as to apply the drive current to the selected motor coil is connected. A commutation delay circuit 33 is connected to positively differentiate the sequencer 13, in response to the detection of the event which shows the position by a motor position detecting circuit 18. A circuit which adjusts the delay of the commutation delay circuit between each event and each sequencer commutation gives optimum motor commutation for getting maximum power efficiency.
