To provide the automatic allocation method and device of newspaper advertisements for allowing anyone to obtain equivalent results regardless of any personal skill or ability in a newspaper space editing computer system.
Assuming that one advertisement page is constituted of three advertisement materials A-C in a single stage, unit systems are unified (S1), and the size of a margin generated only at one side when those advertising raw materials are simply arranged in space sizes is calculated (S2). Then, the margin is assigned so as to be made uniform among the respective advertisement materials by deciding the margin distribution positions (S3), and dividing the margin by the number of the margin distribution positions to calculate the size of a margin to be distributed to the margin distribution positions (S4). The margin size is assigned to the margin distribution positions, and the layout positions of the advertisement materials A-C are derived (S5).
