PURPOSE: To allow anybody to refer to registered schedule information vocally from any place at any time and to inform a caller who has made a call of the reason of the absence of the called subscriber vocally if the called subscriber is absent.

CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a code converting means 12 which converts information that the telephone caller A inputs from a telephone set Y through a telephone line into code data that a scheduler 20 can recognize, a schedule retrieval means 21 which automatically retrieves schedule information matching the code data converted by the code converting means 12 in a data base D, an answer message generating means 23 which edits the contents of the schedule information retrieved by the schedule retrieval means 21 and generates answer message data, and a speech converting means 14 which converts the answer message data generated by the answer message generating means 23 into speech data and informs the telephone caller A of the data through the telephone line and telephone set Y.
