To increase the reliability of automatic changeover of the signal device of an automobile by turning on the automatic switch of the signal device according to the detected position of the automobile when the automobile is stopped or is moving at a minimum speed or below.
The automatic switch of a signal device is turned on when an automobile travels at a minimum speed or below on the hard shoulder of a superhighway or a national highway, near stopping place of public transportation vehicles, or near an intersection on the outside of an area of concentrated houses without being intentionally stopped by a driver or when it is stopped near these places. Since the automatic switch of the signal device is turned on according to the detected position of the automobile when the automobile stops or travels the at minimum speed or below, the automatic switch of the signal device is prevented from being turn on at the unnecessary time, thus the reliability of automatic changeover of the signal device is increased.
