Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an automatic charging system on a main line not at an interchange by providing two gantries over plural lanes and securing the radio communication between a charging means and every vehicles passing under the gantries to attain the traffic charging.
CONSTITUTION: The 1st and 2nd gantries 44 and 46 are provided over plural lanes, and the charging antennas 50 and the number photographing cameras 52 are provided on the gantry 44. An antenna 50 is prepared per lane to perform the communication for charging with an in-vehicle unit IU 62 of a vehicle 48 that is running in the corresponding lane. At the same time, the communication area of every charging confirmation antenna 56 is decided, so that the communication is possible with the IU 62 of the vehicle 48 at a time point after the vehicle 48 passed through a loop coil 60. Therefore, a user is not required to throw the traffic fare into a due device for receipt of an area.
