PURPOSE: To use a range hood all the time at high efficiency, by making metal plate-type grease filters of an endless belt type and cleaning the filters with a cleaning soln. and a cleaning brush while the filter are moved automatically at low speed by the instruction from a built-in microcomputer.

CONSTITUTION: An endless belt type grease filter 8 formed into a loop is rotated with feed holes 7 and gears 9 by a low speed motor which is worked according to a contamination by the instruction of a built-in microcomputer, and thus a part of the filter is always fed to a container 12 having a cleaning soln. and in contact with cleaning brushes 10 to clean the filter. The filter 8 is composed of stripe-like filter plates 4 having filtering holes 6 and formed into an endless belt loop by binding the plates with connecting parts 5. As a result, the grease filter 8 is automatically cleaned before the contamination becomes extreme, therefore, the filter can be used efficiently all the time.
