Title:
AUTOMATIC CONTROL DEVICE FOR DISCHARGE AMOUNT OF SUPPLY WATER FAUCET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2639767
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a proper amount of discharge water by a method wherein opening and closing of a flow passage by a flow rate variable regulating valve and the opening of a flow passage are automatically controlled according to a signal by means of which motion frequency in a unit time of a user's hand or a hand, holding an article, right below a supply water faucet is detected.
CONSTITUTION: When a hand is absent right below a faucet 1, a hand motion detecting sensor 2 is not operated, a flow rate varying regulating valve 5 is brought into a fully closed state, and maintained in a state to discharge no water. Meanwhile, when a hand or an article is positioned right below the faucet 1, a detected signal from the hand motion detecting sensor 2 is inputted through a converter 3 to a regulator 4, and the flow rate varying regulating valve 5 is released by means of an output electric signal from a regulator 4. In this case, at an initial stage, a discharge amount is slight but when a motion amount per a unit time is increased through motion of a hand or an article, the opening of the flow rate varying regulating valve 5 is increased and a discharge amount is increased. When the hand or the article is moved away from a position right below the faucet 1, discharge is stopped.
