Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely dry photosensitive material without making a drying part larger in the case of drying the photosensitive material while transporting it by using an endless mesh belt.
SOLUTION: Rollers 72, 76, 78 and 80 and a tension roller 88 are arranged in a drying chamber 174, and the endless mesh belt 82 is laid round the rollers. The mesh belt is longer in length in a transporting direction than the photosensitive material of maximum size, and is turned back between the roller 76 and the roller 88 and laid round the roller 80, whereby a distance between the rollers 72 and 76 opposed to the transport path of the photosensitive material is made short. The photosensitive material is transported in the drying chamber in a state where its back surface side is pressed against the mesh belt by drying air jetted from a chamber 90.
