PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new automatic sorting/processing device having an extremely satisfactory sorting rate without the inclusion of fragments or broken pieces of a packaging material in foods.
SOLUTION: The device comprises a loading chute 1a into which the food covered with a packaging material is loaded, a cylindrical processing tank 25 which communicates with the loading chute 1a and sorts out/processes the food into a packaging material and a food, a discharge hole 26d which is formed in the processing tank 25 and discharges the food after sorting, a discharge passage 50 which discharges the packaging material after sorting, a rotary shaft 54 which is driven to rotate by a drive means 20 arranged inside the processing tank 25, and a plurality of rotary blades 57 to 60 with the base end fixed to the rotary shaft 54 and the tip positioned on the inner peripheral face side of the processing tank 25. The rotary blades 57 to 60 are constituted of first rotary blades 57 and 59 with the tip positioned in close proximity with the inner peripheral face of the processing tank 25, and second rotary blades 58 and 60 whose base end-to-tip length is shorter than that of the first rotary blades 57 and 59.
