Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an automatic document feeder capable of protecting a document by separating and carrying the document by appropriate torque in an automatic document feeder.
CONSTITUTION: A paper separating/feeding means 4 is driven by a paper feeding motor composed of a stepping motor, a motor driver 45 wherein a driving electric current value to be supplied to the paper feeding motor is independently set and it is driven by driving torque in accordance with a driving electric current value, and a main control part 18 capable of switching a driving electric current value to be supplied to the paper feeding motor from a motor driver 45 at the time of separating and that of carrying a document.
