An input station 10 having a keyboard 12 and a printer 14 is provided, and a bar code reader 18 is provided to edit information in the form of a bar code, and bar code data is stored in a storage circuit 19 so as to be used by a digital medical image device or the like. A reader 20 to which an automatic feed dispenser 22 to read a storage medium forming an X-ray photograph image of a patient is added, is arranged in the digital medical image device. Information read by the reader 20 is inputted to a processing unit 24, and an image related to the patient is automatically edited by cooperation with an automatic editing control device 40, and is delivered to an editing station 30, and the image is outputted from a laser printer 50.
