PURPOSE: To provide an automatic feeding device capable of performing printing not generating the wastefulness of roll paper and capable of simply detaching the roll paper after printing.
CONSTITUTION: A cutter 21 is provided to the roll paper insertion part of an automatic feeding device or to the rear surface of a lid 12 to cut roll paper 17 on the insertion side of the feeding device. The cutter 21 is driven when the roll paper 17 is fed forwardly by predetermined quantity during printing by the rotatory power of an insertion roller 18 to cut the roll paper 17. The cut roll paper 17 is fed by the rotatory power of a discharge roller 20 and guided by a paper guide 13 to be discharged to a stacker 14. In this case, since the roll paper 17 is cut on the insertion side, the cut part thereof can be set to a leading end at the time of next printing. Further, the roll paper 17 can be prevented from remaining in a printer after printing by cutting the roll paper 17 on the insertion side.
