Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an automatic fire extinguisher for an air conveyance duct in which a zone to be extinguished is arranged per line to allow extinguishing of a fire efficiently using a gas based extinguishing agent while eliminating a drop in the conveying efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: An extinguishing chamber 4 is formed with an extinguishing equipment 5 using a gas based extinguishing agent which is so arranged in parallel with an intermediate duct 9a that a duct 9 for conveying a combustible substance A by air is branched off in the course thereof and converged at a downstream point thereof and the inside of the extinguishing chamber 4 is divided with a filter 3. A first damper 1 and a second damper 2 are arranged respectively at the branched part and the converging part of the intermediate duct 9a and the extinguishing chamber 4 to switch an air passage for conveying and a fire sensor 7 is arranged in the duct 9 on the upstream side of the first damper 1. The operation of the extinguishing equipment 5 and the first and second dampers 1 and 2 are controlled by a signal outputted from the fire sensor 7.
