To automate a series of operation from feeding of powder materials and water to discharging of product granules by providing the apparatus with a conical type screw mixer for mixing the powder materials and the water and finishing the mixture to the granules, detecting the load current of a screw agitating shaft of this mixer and controlling granulation operation.
To produce the granules from the powder materials a to c, the respective powder materials a to c are supplied respectively through metering devices 1-a to 1-c and a transportation line 2 to a material receiver 3. Next, the powder materials supplied from the material receiver 3 to a material hopper scale 4 are fed into the mixer 5 (any of 5-1 to 5-3). On the other hand, the water is fed to the mixer 5 from a water feed line 6. The condition change of granulation progressed in the mixer 5 is recognized through the load current value of the granulating machine and is outputted as the control signal of the granulating apparatus. The granules are automatically discharged to a granule receiver 7 at the point of the time when the granules are granulated to a prescribed grain sized and the load current value of the granulating machine attains a preset value.
