Abstract:
PURPOSE: To satisfactorily achieve a making of transparent ice, yet with a simple construction and further, a reduction in vibration noise in an automatic ice maker.
CONSTITUTION: An ice making tray 14 is provided between a machine body 8 and a support member 9 in such a manner that it can turn centered on an output shaft 12 and a support shaft 15 while being movable axially. The machine body 8 is provided with a vibration application mechanism 18 to vibrate the ice making tray 14 in the direction of the arrow A and in the direction opposite thereto in the making of ice so that bubbles are promoted to escape outside from under water to allow the making of transparent ice. Compression springs 16 and 17 are provided between the ice making tray 14 and the machine body 8 and the ice making tray 14 and the support member 9. The ice making tray 14 is pressed against a vibration transmission member 21 of the vibration application mechanism 18 during the application of vibration thereby preventing chattering therebetween.
