CONSTITUTION: Water stored in a predetermined quantity in a water tray 7 is pumped by a water supply pump 13, and fed to be stored in an icemaking tray 11 of an icemaking chamber through a water supply passage 15. A heater" is provided at an upper cover of the tray to bring cold gas into contact only from a lower part. The water stored in the tray 11 is cooled by feeding the cold gas to a lower part of the tray 11 from a duct while agitating it by a driving mechanism 17, bubbles in the water is fed to a water surface, and the water is icemade from its lower part. In this case, since water deionized by an electric dialysis water cleaning mechanism is used, transparent ice in which a cloudy substance does not remain is obtained.
