To provide an automatic India ink rubbing machine with which, when the lower part of a solid India ink set previously with the automatic India ink rubbing machine is worn down, a slider such as a roller works to prevent further rubbing of the solid India ink, and when a rubbing operation is completed or is temporarily stopped, an arm provided with a guide rail and a solid ink holding tool is maintained in an upward moving state.
The automatic India ink rubbing machine comprises an ink stone arranged below and a solid India ink holding tool connected to a rotator and provided at the tip end of the arm reciprocating longitudinally. The India ink rubbing machine, in which the lower face of the solid India ink held with the solid ink holding tool is pressed against and slid on the surface of the ink stone, comprises the guide rail provided in parallel with the arm and at the upper side of the ink stone, and a holding device in which the slider, having a fixed length provided at one side of the solid India ink holding tool and reciprocating on the upper face of the guide rail in linkage with the solid India ink holding tool, holds the upward moving position from the guide rail together with the arm.
