PURPOSE: To realize an automatic liquid specimen analyzer capable of automatically discriminating to which specimen an obtained inspection result corresponds by detecting the condition thereof in the case where the specimen is not arranged at a light measuring position in the case and the like where a specimen supply part serves to fail in specimen supply.
CONSTITUTION: A specimen presence detector is arranged in an automatic specimen supply part 15 and a pressure sensor for detecting whether a specimen 23 is grasped with a specimen grasping part 37 is set. A detection signal transmitted from the specimen presence detector and the pressure sensor is transmitted to a control part 51. Thereby in the case where the specimen fails to be taken out and grasped, a control part 51 serves to detect the condition thereof. Accordingly, discrimination is exactly and automatically performed to which specimen an inspection result obtained to detect it corresponds even if the specimen 23 is not arranged at a light measuring position of a measuring part 17 and no grasping occurs.
