PURPOSE: To provide an automatic marking machine which is easy in adjusting by automating all of a rotation of a type wheel, marking action by the type wheel, conveyance of a marked material, cutting of the marked material and conveyance of a colored tape and balance keeping in weight balance of a movable frame holding the type wheel.

CONSTITUTION: A type wheel 20 and a motor turning the type wheel 20 are fitted to a movable frame 10, which is rockable, by making a support shaft into a fulcrum. The movable frame 10 is rocked in cooperation with a rotation of a cam 17 having a motor 15 for its driving source. A marked material is sent into a space right under the type wheel 20 by a sending unit and marking is performed one letter by one letter. A cutter 50 having a motor 60 for its driving source is established on the downstream side of a conveying direction of the marked material on the downstream side of a conveying direction of the marked material and the marked material is cut off. A supply reel 70 and wind-up reel 75 of a colored tape are established on a base 1 and the colored tape is conveyed in the direction meeting at right angless with the conveying direction of the marked material based on a rotation of the wind-up reel 75 having a motor 80 for its driving source.
