Abstract:

PURPOSE: To widen continuous operation range, by installing a flow detecting part, with stops a pumping part at a time when pipe flow drops down beyond the specified value, in a discharge pipe of a volute jet pump.

CONSTITUTION: A flow detecting part 14, which generates a signal for stopping a main pumping part 1 at a time when pipe flow drops down beyond the specified value, is installed in a discharge pipe 6 of a pump consisting of the main pumping part 1 and a jet pumping part 2. Therefore, the main pumping part 1 is stopped in response to a signal out of the flow detecting part 14 so that continuous operation takes place even if the flow varies over the wide range, and starting and stopping frequencies are sharply reducible.
