PURPOSE: To produce a well-tightened packaged article without a break in a packaging film and troubles in tying step next to gathering step, by attaching tapes having a specified kinematic coefficient of friction against the packaging film on at least a pair of gathering plates that gather the four sides of the packaging film together into a place.

CONSTITUTION: An article 3 to be packaged is wrapped in a rectangular packaging film 2 and the four sides of the packaging film 2 are gathered together into a place. To package the article 3 tight, tapes 4 having a kinematic coefficient of friction against the packaging film 2 of 0.4 or higher and 2.0 or lower are attached on at least a pair of gathering plates 1a so that the packaging film 2 under the gathering plates 1a and 1b is pulled tight between the edges of the gathering plates 1a and 1b and the article 3. The raw material of the tape 4 may be a synthetic resin film or non-woven fabric. The thickness of the tape 4 is preferably at least 0.2mm and not exceeding 0.5mm, the length is at least 3cm, and width is at least 7mm. Using the tape 4 enables the article 3 to be packaged tight without a break in the packaging film 2.
