To provide an automatic packing machine for a long material attempting labor-saving and rationalization of a packing operation for the long material.
A first elevating/descending cylinder (75a) is extended toward a folding position of a flange part B, and a bending plate (74) is rotated. The side face of the flange part B is pressed by a fork-like member (73b), and the flange part B is bent inward mutually. A second elevating/descending cylinder (72a) is extended, and a sticking pusher (77) is passed through between forks of the fork-like member (73b). The surface of a folding end part of the flange part B is elastically pressed through a sticking tape, and the sticking tape is stuck into an approximately L-like shape over two faces, that are the surface of the end part of the flange part B and one side face crossing over a folding ridge line part of the flange part B.
