PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of trouble such as a double feeding phenomenon, paper feeding stop, and occurrence of an abnormal sound in an automatic paper feeding pad used for an automatic paper feeding mechanism for a business apparatus, by adding spherical particles, by a specific rate, whose mean particle diameters are in a specific range in a pad material.

CONSTITUTION: An automatic paper feeding mechanism for a business apparatus such as a facsimile machine is built up of the combination of a paper feeding roll 3 consisting of rubber or rubber foaming body and an automatic paper feeding pad 1 consisting of a flat plate. Papers 5 piled on a paper receiving table 4 are discharged by a pinch roll 6 after being supplied one by one as paper 5'. In this case, the pad 1 is formed by adding 1-200 weight part of spherical particles whose mean particle diameters are 1-300μm in 100 weight part of a pad material. By adjusting the particle diameters and adding amount of the spherical particles as above, change of the surface condition of the pad 1 by abrasion can be prevented so as to maintain the same abrasion resistance as the first phase. Therefore, a paper feeding error can be suppressed for a long period of time.
