To provide an automatic power window system that prevents prolongation of the required time for a window glass to fully open or close, removes the feeling shaking in the window glass, when the window glass begins moving to open or close, and opens the window glass by an arbitrary amount, with only a single operation.

An automatic power window system is provided with a manual open/close switch 11 for opening or closing a window glass only during its operation; a manual control means 21 for controlling a reversible DC motor 4 so that the window glass' opening/closing speed is gradually increased, only during a prescribed time t1 at the initial operation stage of manual opening/closing switch 11; an automatic opening/closing switch 12 for driving a window glass, to fully open or close by the reversible DC motor 4 only by its single operation; and an automatic control means 22 for controlling the reversible DC motor 4 so that the window opening/closing speed becomes gentle, only for a prescribed time t2, at the initial operation stage of automatic opening/closing switch 12.
