Abstract:

PURPOSE: To control product information by automatically measuring the size of an end face of a taken-up product, automatically bringing a printer head close to the end face, reading printing information out of a carrier in non- contact state for printing and automatically printing the name, dimension, etc., of the taken-up product in predetermined optimum positions.
CONSTITUTION: A sensor 6 for measuring the size of an end face of a taken-up product, a shift mechanism 13 for shifting a printer head 4 on the basis of the measured size of the end face and a carrier 8 mounted on the taken-up product to read the printing information in non-contact state are provided. The size of end face of the taken-up product is detected by the sensor 6 and the printer head 4 is shifted to a printing position calculated from the size of the end face by the shift mechanism 13 to print the printing information read out of the carrier 8 in non-contact state on the end face. Also, the product information is adapted controllably to correspond to the taken-up product 3 with 1:1 by reading and writing the information about the taken-up product by an antenna in non-contact state.
