To provide a new registration method wherein 3DXA images are made to meet 3DMR images.
This automatic registration method for three-dimensional images comprises comparing a three-dimensional digital angiogram obtained by an X-ray device with a three-dimensional digital angiogram obtained by a nuclear magnetic resonance device and visualizing the blood vessel. In such an automatic registration method, by processing a two-dimensional image projected from the corresponding point between the two three-dimensional images, the presumption of a rotation, by which the registration of the two three-dimensional images is possible, is performed. Continuously, by processing the projected two-dimensional image, the presumption of a parallel movement, by which the registration of the two three-dimensional images is possible, is performed. Then, one of the two three-dimensional images is registered regarding the other.
