To provide an automatic sewing system readily automatically sewing a curved outer peripheral edge of a surface material, and efficiently performing a series of operations of setting the surface materials to tools, sewing the surface materials, and collecting the tools after sewing.
The automatic sewing system includes: a surface material setting portion 6 for setting at least two upper and lower surface materials 4 and 5 cut into a predetermined shape to a surface setting tool 3 formed of an outer tool 1 and an inner tool 2 so that the outer peripheral edges of the upper and lower surface materials may be exposed to the outside from the outer periphery of the inner tool 2; a sewing portion 9 for sewing the outer peripheral edges of the upper and lower surface materials 4 and 5 set to the inner tool 2 by a sewing machine body 8 including a sewing needle; a sending line 10 for automatically sending the inner tool 2 having the set upper and lower surface materials 4 and 5 from the surface material setting portion 6 to the sewing portion 9; and a carrying line 11 for carrying the inner tool 2 holding the surface materials sewn by the sewing machine body 8 from the sewing portion 9 to the surface setting portion 6.
