To provide an automatic sliding door capable of being easily opened and closed even in case of service interruption and having simple construction by mounting a rail to a door frame in a slant movable manner and, at the same time, providing a slant driving device of the rail by power.
When a slant driving device 16 of an electric cylinder is operated from a position of a rail 12 to pull out the rail 12, an sliding door main body 15 is moved in the direction A closed with dead-weight of the sliding door main body 15. When the tilt driving device 16 is operated to incline the rail 12, the sliding door main body 15 is naturally moved in the opposite direction of the direction A and is opened. When the sliding door main body 15 is opened and closed, the sliding door main body 15 is inclined to make a gap between the sliding door main body and a vertically set door frame 11. For that pourpose, a groove fitting the end of the sliding door main body 15 therein is provided to the door frame 11, or a part brought into contact with the door frame 11 is cut down vertically along the door frame 11 to eliminate the gap. By the constitution, the constitution of equipments can be simplified, and repair and maintenance can be easily executed.
