Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make is possible to mechanically, automatically and simply knot threads, irrespective of kinds of threads, by forming grooves in the facing surfaces of a pair of blocks, corresponding to the paths of threads to be knotted together, and by providing an air stream producing means directed to the openings of the paths. CONSTITUTION:Blocks 1, 3 are closed so that their facing surfaces 11, 31 are made into close contact with each other, and threads are injected toward thread insertion side openings Yi, Xi by fluid jets from fluid jet nozzles N1, N2. Then, the threads pass through the corresponding grooves from the insertion side openings Yi, Xi and flit toward outlet side openings Yo, Xo. Further, when the blocks 1, 3 are released from the close contact condition in such a condition that the insertion ends of the threads go out from the outlet side openings Yo, Xo, the threads cross each other. In this condition, when the thread ends are gripped by human hands or a machine and are pulled relative to each other, both threads may by knotted. Further, by the way of the formation of the groove, it is possible to cope with various kinds of knotting.
