CONSTITUTION: A magnetic reader 3 reads magnetic data on a ticket inserted into a ticket insertion port 7, and the excess fare is calculated. It is displayed in a display part 4. When a passenger supplies paper money or a coin to a paper money input machine 5 or a coin input/output machine 6 by the excess fare displayed in the display part 4, and the excess fare is accurately paid, a stopper is opened so as to permit the passenger to pass through, and change is returned to the coin input/output machine 6.
