To provide an automatic ticket gate system capable of confirming easily that a ticket medium such as a commutation ticket is used by an authorized person.

This automatic ticket gate system is provided with an automatic ticket gate 1 for reading ticket information from the ticket medium carried by a passenger, and for permitting or prohibiting passage, based on the read ticket information, and a camera 2 for imaging the passenger passing through passages G1, G2 of the automatic ticket gate 1. An image of the passenger imaged by the camera 2 is transmitted to a preregistered contact address together with passage information of the passenger, by an electronic mail, when the passenger is permitted to pass through the gate by the automatic ticket gate 1.
