Abstract:
To provide a ticket examination machine having a reduced height to simplify a configuration and capable of appropriately sensing an adult even when a sensor has a dead zone.SOLUTION: An automatic ticket examination machine 10 includes: an enclosure 17 that defines a first passage PW1 along which a user passes; and a plurality of first detection units 16 arranged on an upper part of the enclosure 17 and configured to detect whether or not there is a user having a predetermined body height or more on the first passage PW1 by transmitting detection waves. At least one of the plurality of first detection units 16 transmits detection waves directed to a height position corresponding to the predetermined body height on the center line of the first passage PW1 in a direction inclined from any of a first surface S1 parallel to the first passage PW1, a second surface S2 orthogonal to the first surface S1 in parallel with the first passage PW1, and a third surface S3 orthogonal to both the first surface S1 and the second surface S2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
