PURPOSE: To enable execution of high speed and reliable joining, by a method wherein a tip is nipped and fed by means of a nip feed means, and flux is applied in a tipping position on saw teeth, and joining is effected by means of a solder wire.
CONSTITUTION: Carbide tips, fed in orderly aligned orientation from a feed means A being a part feeder, are fed to a tipping position X in a state to be nipped by means of a nip feed means B. In this case, an indexing device F for a saw S rotates the saw to position a tooth (c) to be tipped in a tipping position X, and feed means E feeds the saw S to the tipping position X to nip the saw from both sides by means of a securing means G. Along with the nipping motion, a flux feed means C applies a specified amount of flux on a tipping part, a solder wire feed means D delivers a solder wire by a specified size, and the solder wire is soldered through generation of heat by means of a heating means H. After tipping, the tip nip feed means B releases the tip from nipping and is returned to its original position, the securing means G unfastens the saw S, and thereafter the above motion is repeated. This constitution enables execution of reliable tipping at a high speed and besides without soiling a machine.
