To approach trains to each other, and shorten an operation time interval by providing approach communication means communicable only when approaching a preceding train, obtaining distance data and travel data between it and the preceding train, and controlling so as to enter a safe position into a blocking-up section where the preceding train is positioned.
Approach communication means 21 and 31 are arranged in front and in rear of a train, and are constituted so that short distance communication can be performed by antennas 22 and 32. The approach communication means 21 and 31 can communicate with a preceding train or a succeeding train. When the approach communication means 31 in the rear of the preceding train and the approach communication means 21 of the succeeding train 12 approach an overlapping position, information on a blocking-up section number between the trains, distance data and speed can be communicated with each other. An approach pattern from the preceding train is generated in preference to an aboveground control speed signal, and the succeeding train is controlled by the approach pattern and a stopping pattern. Therefore, the unreasonable approach of the trains is prevented, safety can be secured, an interval between the trains is shortened, and a transport effect can be enhanced.
