Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable transfer without paying/receiving any cash when performing a transaction while using a bankbook.
SOLUTION: The automatic transaction device is provided with a bankbook register 3 provided for taking in two bankbooks, performing the reading and writing of data of magnetic stripes or the printing of transacted result to the respective bankbooks, and returning the completely processed bankbooks to a customer, and a control equipment 6 provided for taking in two bankbooks while using this bankbook register 3, specifying the source and destination of transfer from the data read from the magnetic stripes of respective bankbooks, sending data required for transfer to a host computer 7 and performing the transfer from the account of one bankbook to the account of the other bankbook while using the host computer 7.
