PURPOSE: To enable a user to recognize a rough wait time, etc., and to reduce irritation by displaying the number of unentered transactions and a rough entry time required for their entries according to quantity information obtained from a host computer when the data are entered into a bankbook according to the stored information obtained from the host computer.

CONSTITUTION: When the bankbook is inserted into a bankbook insertion slot, a bankbook transaction answer message is received from the host computer. Then the entry time (time required for the whole entry process) and an entry time of reception of each time, i.e., a time required for the entry process of entry data received from the host computer through a single communication are calculated from data for entry time calculation received from the host computer and data on the automatic transaction device side which are prepared on the automatic transaction device side. Then the found entry time 40 and its graph 41, entry times 41 of reception of respective times, and the number 43 of unentered transactions are displayed on a color CRT display.
