Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete shifting operation without any feeling of wrongness even if a driver performs accelerating operation during shifting operation.
SOLUTION: This automatic transmission includes a plurality of gear trains provided between an input shaft and an output shaft, and the gear train which performs power transmission among the plurality of gear trains is switched by a shifting mechanism such as a synchronous mesh. Engine speed is adjusted by an electronic control throttle for adjusting intake air amount. An input clutch for performing switching between states for transmitting engine power to the input shaft and for shutting it down is provided between an engine and the input shaft. A bypass clutch for adjusting torque transmitted to the output shaft from the input shaft is provided between the input shaft and the output shaft. If an accelerator pedal is returned and rotation synchronization is wrong during the shifting operation (step S51), an input clutch is released (step S55) for second switching operation of the transmitting gear train (step S58).
