Abstract:
Provided is an automatic transmission capable of reducing vibration and noise generated in a transmission case in an automatic transmission in which a shift unit is mounted on an outer wall of a transmission case. A shift selection shaft (33) and a bottom plate (101) are arranged adjacent to a partition wall (65) in the direction along an input shaft (21). The bottom plate (101) is fixed to the outer surface of a clutch chamber (82) and the outer surface of a transmission surface (83) in the peripheral wall (61). A cylindrical portion (66) through which the input shaft (21) passes through is formed in the partition wall (65) and protrudes toward the clutch chamber (82) side. In the area where the bottom plate (101) is arranged along the direction of the input shaft (21), the inner surfaceof the peripheral wall (61), the partition wall (65), and the cylindrical portion (66) are connected by ribs (131) and (132). A torque converter (10) is arranged on the axis of the input shaft (21), and a friction clutch (17) is connected to the output side of the torque converter (10).
