PURPOSE: To provide an automatic transport device for a pressure roller without being given with the influence of swing even in the utilization of a crane.
CONSTITUTION: A roller holding mechanism 21 and a chock revolution mechanism 31 are suspended on the hook 19 of a hoisting device 17 in a crane part 11 which can freely shift in a plane through the traveling of a girder 13 and the horizontal traveling of a crab 16, and swing is prevented by the swing stop guide 42 and the guide roller 43(44) of a swing stop mechanism 41. The position and operation of each mechanism are detected by pulse generators 52-57, and automatically controlled through the comparison with the value which is previously set on a controller 51. Since each mechanism is not swing even if the crane is utilized, stop at a constant position is executed in simple manner, and the automatic transport of a pressure roller is enabled.
