Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently transfer a stock article between lanes by installing a stacker crane for warehousing the article, an inter-lane transfer device for moving the article between shelves laid back to back at a specific position between adjacent lanes, and control device for performing each operation and connection work.

CONSTITUTION: Many shelves 14, 14 and so forth are laid in a row, so as to be faced to one another at every lanes 1, 2 and so forth. Also, stacker cranes 15-1, 15-2 and so forth are installed between the rows of shelves 14, 14 and so forth. Furthermore, inter-lane transfer devices 16-1, 16-2 and so forth are installed between the shelves 14 laid back to back at a specific position between adjacent lanes. In this case, a control system using a computer system is constituted of a main control device for controlling inventory, transfer, warehousing and other processes, a stacker crane control device for controlling the stacker cranes 15-1, 15-2 and so forth, and an inter-lane transfer control device for controlling the devices 16-1, 16-2 and so forth.
