PURPOSE: To reduce the on-site installation man-hour of an automatic warehouse by providing an axis driving device which adjusts and sets the origin correction quantity for the machine origin position when the automatic warehouse is installed and drives a lifter to each shelf position with position correction parameters after adjustment.

CONSTITUTION: After origin position correction parameters are inputted, a machine is returned to the origin, the fork axis is moved to the corrected origin position, running and lifting axes are moved to the corrected origin position and confirmed, if they are displaced from the allowable range, correction parameters are again inputted. After row and column position correction parameters are inputted, the axes are moved to the corrected origin position, they are moved to each row and each column and confirmed until the movement is completed for all rows and all columns. Correction parameters for the origin position and the row and column positions of shelves and a storage/delivery station are provided, correction is applied to the control position of the whole automatic warehouse, thus the origin can be correctly positioned without performing the fine adjustment of dogs, limit switches and encoders, and the number of on-site installation man-hour can be sharply reduced.
