Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic washer, as washing means for equipment, such as a mattress, for welfare and nursing-care services, which has a basic structure to minimize the installation space of a washing machine, enhances the washing effect with a relatively simple and compact configuration and leaves no adverse effect such as deformation on a washed object such as a mattress.SOLUTION: The automatic washer includes a cabinet forming a washing chamber, in which a retainer for mounting a mattress or the like is provided. The mattress is vertically inserted into a basket provided in the retainer, and the automatic washer automatically performs a series of steps of washing the front and reverse faces of the mattress by a detergent spraying device, then rotating the retainer to impregnate detergent into the mattress, rinsing by a similar operation and dewatering by high-speed rotation. Optionally, the automatic washer can perform washing of equipment other than a mattress and sterilizing/drying with high-temperature air after dewatering.
